Grace-I think your topic is very stright forward, and your added picture is very helpful in that it shows exactly what you are going to be researching. I have an idea that you might want to incorporate (I think I spelt that right). I would start by researching the realism genre in art, and then compare it to the photo-realism genre. You might want to talk about the camera invention, 'cause it has considerable importance to your topic.
